Confidence In Jesus Christ

In The Word

Read: Hebrews 3:1-6

Jesus Our High Priest

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus; He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house. For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; but Christ was faithfulas a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.

Walking In The Word

Hebrews 3:1-2 says, “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession; He was faithful to him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.” Christ is worth being called an apostle and high priest in our walk with Him because of the role He plays in our relationship with the Father in heaven. He is our only way to the Father and all of our sins are forgiven through Him. He is always interceding for us no matter what we go through. On our behalf, Christ was so faithful, and because of that we should hold fast our confidence in Him until the end.

Hebrews 3:5 says, “Now Moses was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later.” Moses did everything he did as a servant working for his master’s house, but Christ did everything as a son doing it for His house. We are the house Christ sacrificed everything for to the point of laying down His own life. We have to hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope must remain firm until the end.

As believers, we should know that there is no stopping this race we are in. We have to make up our mind and know what we believe in and why we believe in it.

Do you have confidence in Christ and your salvation? There is no other way around this.
