TRUE OR FALSE, CHURCH?

In The Word

Read Jude 17-25

Keep Yourselves in the Love of God

But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Walking In The Word

We know that after the death of the apostles, false teaching crept into the church.History tells us that men began to elevate themselves above churches and began to rule the people in the church by hiding the true Word of God. These heresies began to form a hierarchy that evolved into a political religion. This religion combined pagan beliefs and false worship with a small measure of the truth of God.Eventually, this religion was looked upon as what the world viewed as the Christian faith. Jesus told us He would build His church on the rock of the revelation of who He is! His Word is always fulfilled. Paul saw beforehand this apparent dilemma between the true church and the false church in Ephesians chapter 4. He urged the Christians of his day to endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit in the peace that bound them together. Later in that chapter, he said, “Until we all reach the unity in ‘the faith’ and the knowledge of God’s son, then we will no longer be tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching or doctrine” (Ephesians 4:11-16). In other words, we will not be swayed by false doctrine. Jude 3 says to earnestly contend for “the faith” or teaching that was delivered to the saints (the church).

Already, in his day, the church was being attacked (as Peter and Paul predicted).Jude was warning the true church that this attack had started and that Christians should be aware of it. Most importantly, it was written for our understanding as the present day Body of Christ. We are fulfilling Paul’s prophecy in Ephesians 4! Today, we are fast approaching, as a body, “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Yahshua is restoring the true doctrines and teachings in today’s church. The Holy Spirit is guiding “the church” into “all truth” (John 16:13 and Ephesians 5:27).
