The Lamb and the 144,000 on Mount Zion
14 Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. 3 And they *sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. 4 These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless.

Walking In The Word
John described the 144,000 men from the twelve tribes of Israel (Revelation 7) as standing before the Lord worshipping Him with their full voices. They have on their foreheads the names of God and Yahshua, which contrast the followers of the beast who carry his mark on their foreheads and hands (Revelation 13:16). The men will follow the Lamb wherever He goes and are described as blameless, honest, and sexually chaste.
The description of the 144,000 should inspire and convict us. Take a moment to examine your life based on their three characteristics. First, they passionately worship God publicly and unashamedly by singing. It is important that we worship God both in private, during our personal time with the Father, and in public, during corporate worship at a church service. Second, they follow God’s direction for their lives. We should immediately obey the commands of God’s Word, not delay or pick and choose which commands to obey. Third, they keep themselves pure during their time on earth though they are surrounded by wickedness, deception, and sexual immorality. Our life should be free from the stains of sin and culture that surround us, and our relationships with others should be above reproach.
Simply put: their lives reflect their belief in Yahshua. Did these three qualities describe you? Or did you fail the test? If you see any shortcomings, you have the power to correct them beginning today by the power of the Holy Spirit and guidance from the Word.
