Eternal Destination: Your Choice

In The Word

Read: Revelation 20:11-15

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Walking In The Word

The sinners who reject Yeshua on earth will be judged by Him and sentenced to punishment of eternal misery and torment; their rejection of Yeshua determines their fate. Faith and trust in Yeshua is the only way to find salvation and escape hell; good works will not save anyone. No one banished to hell can criticize God since He provided the way of escape through Yeshua, even giving time and waiting patiently for sinners to repent. God will not change His requirements or reduce His standards. Some have tried to find a scriptural basis to escape the doctrine of eternal punishment, but the Bible clearly declares that there are only two eternal destinies for human souls: either in Heaven with the Lord or separated from Him in a fiery hell. This truth should motivate us who are saved to declare the gospel with urgency by every means possible because time is short.

Please examine your life to see whether you are saved, that your name is written in the Book of Life. If you know, or are not certain, that heaven is not your eternal destination, based solely on God’s righteous standard, then God is reaching out to you by having placed this devotional in your presence today. He hopes you will place your faith and trust in Yeshua and walk in His holy ways. If you are already saved, do not hesitate to share the gospel’s truth so that others may be rescued from the eternal fires of hell.
