Read: Colossians 1:15-23
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: 16 for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.18 He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
21 And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His body of flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Walking In The Word
Not only were all things created, whether visible or invisible, by Christ and through Christ, but also for Christ. However, the world and unfortunately much of the church chooses to live an alienated life: hostile in mindset and engaged in evil deeds. Instead of living that life of alienation, we could be truly reconciled through Him and His blood by putting our faith and trust in His sacrifice. When we do this, He will be first in our lives. When He is first in our lives, everything works out; everything is held together. When people don’t put Him first, life begins to unravel. No matter how hard people try, without God things fall apart. For He Himself said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing, seek first My kingdom and My righteousness and everything will be taken care of” (John 15 and Matthew 6).
All people desire for everything to be taken care of. They desire for their lives to hold together in marriage, in family, in relationships, in material things, in careers, and in themselves. They want to have success and significance. Here is some good news: God wants that for all people. He died for everyone to have life and to have it more abundantly. The only way this will be obtained is for people to put their faith firmly and steadfastly in Christ. Christ’s goodness is obtained when people live their lives by Him, through Him, but also for Him. Decide to live your life for Christ instead of yourself and experience the power of God holding everything together.
